By SFG standards, this was a small construction loan request, but each of our experienced, professional underwriters has the discretion to look past the margins of our lending model when working with repeat brokers in worthwhile situations. This transaction was an example of just such a case. A long term broker relationship coupled with a free and clear lot, a borrower with excellent credit, good liquidity and a sensible business plan, allowed SFG to close a loan that was otherwise outside the margins.
